Mini Hybrid Runtime 0.3.0 BETA

Local-first personal AI with on-device persistent memory, offline recall, selective phone/server synchronization, Mini Planner, Unified Executor escalation and verified safe Level 0/1 autonomy.

Status: BETA PREVIEW — installs alongside stable Mini.

Mini 0.2.2 remains the stable release and the primary download. It is unchanged by this release and nothing about it has been replaced, upgraded or retired.

Mini Hybrid 0.3.0 is a separate application (online.reverseml.phoneagent.hybrid, shown as "ReverseML Mini Hybrid"). It installs side by side with stable Mini, keeps its own private storage, and never reads or modifies stable Mini's data. If the beta misbehaves, uninstall only the beta — stable Mini is untouched. Available to approved testers through the existing Mini access gate.

What this release is

A runtime and app architecture update. It changes how Mini organises memory, planning, device observation and permitted actions on the phone. It does not train, replace or modify the local model.

Each item below was exercised by an automated test on a real Android 16 runtime — real on-device database, real network, real process kills and reboots.

What it does not do

It is not a new model and contains no new weights.
It is not fully autonomous. Level 2 surface actions are not implemented, and Level 3 actions — sending messages, deleting files, purchases, publishing — are refused pending explicit confirmation.
It cannot control arbitrary parts of your phone. The only actions implemented are reversible ones inside the app's own private storage.
Research and mathematical work require a connection. Offline, Mini says so rather than answering as if it had checked.

Local model

0.3.0 updates the Mini runtime and agent architecture; the underlying local model weights are unchanged. The existing model artifact continues to be used as-is.

Signing

Mini Hybrid is the first ReverseML Mini build signed with a dedicated production key. Stable 0.2.2 was signed with a development certificate; that identity is retired for future public releases and an automated gate now fails any public build carrying it. Because the two apps use different package names, this does not affect your stable install and no migration is required to try the beta.
